I continue to read Skip Moen book Spiritual Restoration. I highly recommend this book, it contains a great deal of wisdom, the book helps to sort out the difference between the Greek mind set and the Hebrew perspective, as messianic believers this is valuable.
This is a small example on page 120; Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Yeshua. Romans 16:25. To paraphrase mr Moen teaching: our Greek mindset tells us “it’s up to you”. We take the Greek position we adopt the view of life that it is in our hands, sink or swim up to us. Until we confront sin, how do we stand in holiness over sin. Paul tells us God establishes power to our weakness in order that we might live in ways that delight him. God’s power applied to me, allows me to STAND. Standing is a daily activity we need Gods continuous connection. That means life is either standing through a power not my own or falling because I am disconnected. God is continuously able. I am not.
Strongly recommend all his books.
